Modeling a Stylized Building
Rules of the Exercise
1Model must be of a building
2Model must by stylized or exaggerated in some way
3The building must be at least four stories tall
4Modifiers used must be listed in the exercise description
The purpose of this exercise is to use the tools shown in the Mesh Modeling Fundamentals and Modeling with Modifiers courses in a practical way. Remember that we always want to model efficiently to keep it easy and non-destructive for future changes. Try to save time. The right combination of modifiers will make the rest of the creation of this stylized office building a cinch! TIP: You'll only need to use about four mesh modeling tools to match my example, but feel free to get creative and try new ones. This is also an exercise in creativity: Can you make a solid and inanimate object look lively? Example of styling, no need to animate!
- Open a new Blender scene
- Model a 4+ story tall building using both mesh tools and non-destructive modifiers
- Use extra modifiers to add a stylized look to your building (examples)
- Upload your model to Sketchfab.com, and and submit it here for grading! (Big orange button at the top right of this page)
- In your exercise submission description, list what modifiers you used

Check out this video for additional guidance in accomplishing this exercise. Though, I encourage you to watch only after attempting the exercise first. Otherwise it's defeating the intention of the exercise being a challenge in application of the information learned in the Mesh Modeling Fundamentals and Modeling with Modifiers courses.
