Just ordered some acrylic paints for it for tomorrow to bring it to life. I'll post the final once it is completed.

I promise I am still working on my mech warrior lol. I took a side step preparing for the decal phase and decided to create my own font using my iPad Pro and iFontMaker app that I have owned for a few years.

I wanted something with sharp edges and slices and spent all week working on it after work in my free time. I am happy to announce that it is completed and ready for Blender usage. Here's the font preview from windows:

The only issue I came across is that Blender does not include the kerning data for the font (shown above where all text is spaced evenly between each character combination). So when I use the font within Blender there are gaps and zones that are really close together between certain letters. You can manually adjust kerning within the program ....... OR ...... just type the text in somewhere else and import the SVG as curve data: which is what I decided to do to overcome this minor hurdle.

After a ton of work I decided to spend the rest of the afternoon playing with my beloved font and extruding it with some worn edge detail. It's so satisfying seeing a creating like this that will be reusable in the future.

Soon I'll be making my own decals with the letters/numbers.

I have been working on a few things this week but most importantly I have been painting the harmonica cover for my son:

    Here’s the final coat:

All that is left is to spray a sealer coat on it then it will be complete.

Nice one, your son will love it I'm sure. Being a unique piece you should sign it, maybe worth a bit in a few years

Been working with the Serpens V2.0 add-on quite a bit and realized I haven't modeled in a while. I am putting together a template and will be placing it on the Blender Market and Gumroad. After starting some of the promo content I realized a default cube was not that exciting lol, so I wanted a mascot and decided to model this guy.

Finally got my Add-on template released for the Serpens 2.0 add-on. I went with a more desert-y style for the mascot.

I have it under review on Blender Market but was able to release it on Gumroad already.

It is free so go check it out. You will need Serpens if you want to use the template (last I checked it was $15 on Blender Market and Gumroad). But it actually comes with an add-on you can always use for enabling some buttons and tools for development.

This was a really fun and involved project. I am falling in Love with Serpens actually. It makes coding actually manage-able and I am learning a ton just using it.

Going to be working on my Ultimate Gridz engine once again now that the Serpens 2.0 rewrite is done.

Maybe one day I'll get back to modeling that mech I got side-tracked from........
