Hi I'm not sure of myself but for now I'm staying on this keyblade
In the past I have already tried a keyblade less detailed and I decided to try a new keyblade harder to challenge me
I always enjoyed the kingdom hearts serie (hadn't had the time to start the 3rd though) I'm in awe of the detail you put in the blade
Where is the handle? It looks like it's all blade to me; furthermore they seem to be curved into weird shapes and facing random directions.
Basically, you modeled it well, but the concept is questionable. (I understand if it's too late to change, of course.)
williamatics Well, for people that are not familiar with the KH franchise, it may look weird. The main shape is a key, and the character use it to fight. They are not really blades or sword. As for design, believe me, it's how it is, and it's not the weirdest one...
otowa The designs are amazing, and yours looks great! My wrists hurts just by looking at them tho...
Homework Week 1 Submission
I think I have finished.I have never done texturing since I started blender and after watching some tutorial it seems complex. To be honest I am already surprised to have been able to model the keyblade. I feel like I'm not able to texture such a complex object. It's too big a challenge for something I'm going to texture for the first time. I'll try as best as I can.I lack confidence in myself but I am motivated.
jjamesley I have to echo Spikey in saying that this model looks better than the reference. Wow, you really knocked this one out of the park. It's an A+ in my book.

The model is pretty complex, so if you can handle that I think you can handle the texturing too. The key in my opinion will be to simply the whole down to it's key pieces. That's what I always do with complex tasks. All together it's overwhelming, but one key piece after another is manageable. Then before I know it the whole thing is complete.
Keep up the good work! 👏
jjamesley That's odd..It doesn't look like your bleed evenly extends beyond your UV borders 🤔
I've seen that "diamond gradient" pattern before with the fill brush. Usually happens whenever I try to fill from an orthographic perspective where faces overlap in the view axis. This actually happened briefly in the stream on Tuesday where I painted with occlusion and backgace culling disabled from front orthographic, resulting in that diamond gradient pattern.
I've been able to fix this by rotating my view to a non-orthographic angle and filling again.
jjamesley Hmmm...If you packprovide a download link to you .blend file (via dropbox, google drive, or equivalent service) I'll take a look.
