Snapping makes my mesh disappear insdie asnother object.

I am trying to retopologis the red sculpt by having the geometry snap to the face of the sculpt. Problem is that the retopologise mesh kind of vanishes partially inside the sculpt. I want to use snap so that i dont have to adjust every songle vert manually, is there a fix for this isue?

    aarev In the Introduction to Retopology Course they use shrinkwrap combined with snapping to make it snap better on the surface, maybe that would help?

    ssmurfmier1985 Tried that too. It might work slightly better but the issue is stil there. I am thinking it has to do with the surface of the sculpt not being as smooth as other kinds of geometry. I have tried to use smaller bits of geometry, but even with a subsurf lvl 6 it persists.

    aarev I've noticed working in 2.7 that even if I had a group of verts selected for snapping, it would snap the active selection and the rest would follow the active selection position, if that makes sense.  They wouldn't snap individually.  So, you might just have to bite the bullet and position each one individually.
