My suggest on the Tiers of CGCookie memberships

Student A says: "I want to learn how to make high quality or high end models by using Blender. So I require that the quality of the learning content should be as high as possible. The courses like HUMAN are absolutely necessary to me!"

Student B says: "I just want to learn how to make low-poly models and some 2D Grease pencil drawing. Although the high quality content (like HUMAN ) is great, I actually do not need that course. What I do need is that I can ask questions to instructors and I am able to watch my favourite courses online, rather than downloading. "

With the end of the monthly subscription, the current CGCookie yearly membership is trying to use one size to fit all, which is not ideal - Student A may complain that the quality of the content is still not high enough; whereas Student B may complain that the price of membership is too expensive for low-poly modeling.

Therefore, my suggest is to divide the membership by Tiers:

Tier A membership:

Under this membership, students are able to access all content and resources on CGCookie.  But the price of this Tier A membership is also the most expensive one.

Tier B membership:

While most content or courses are accessible under this membership, only certain high quality content or courses or add-ons are restricted or not accessible. But the price of this Tier B membership is cheaper than Tier A.

Tier C membership:

Under this membership, no course or add-ons are accessible. The members can still participate the community, like forum discussion, challenges and gallery presentation. The price of this Tier C membership is the cheapest.  This is great for entry-level membership - for those people who are still hesitated to make a decision to fully join CGCookie or not. Also, it is great for alumni.

Lastly, membership can be upgraded anytime.

What would you think please? Thanks! I hope CGCookie successful in the future.

lol I realize the monthly paid subscription is the only way to go than paying 30% more on the downloaded course from the blender market.

Oh, $0.00 on the bottom of the list. One month free - good for you!

I was also a bit dissapointed that the monthly option doesn't exist anymore.

However, the courses I have taken until now are of such a great quality that the yearly plan is totally worth it.

Also, I feel more invested in interacting with the community and I have added a lot of tutorials on my to-do list.

The creators of CGCookie wrote that with the monthly subscription there was an expectation to deliver monthly courses, which would impact the quality of those courses.
