A photo of my newly refurbished kitchen. Unfortunately, the plumber (me) forgot to tighten the water connection to the icemaker. My wife isn't happy. Guess I'm sleeping on the couch tonight.

  • First... I want to say this looks really good. Overall the modeling looks really good. Texture seems a bit strong in places, but on the whole, things look nice.

The biggest question I have is did you model everything to scale? The biggest challenge with this one is that the scale doesn't seem consistent. For example, the wine bottles are consistent with the objects immediately by it, but when you compare it to the height of the counter and the stools, they appear to be the same size and that also makes the hook of the faucets seem larger than I think they should be. This is something that happens commonly if you're not modeling things to a consistent scale but are just modeling and scaling things to match after the fact.

You've got some great work going here. It's just little things here and there that are not feeling quite right.

(though maybe what's making it feel off is the water, which feels really choppy for such a confined space.)

Grady, thank you for the honest appraisal and critique. Indeed, I did not model to scale but modeled to match after the fact. I have always preached that "details matter" and clearly I didn't heed my own advice. As for the water, I agree and didn't like the choppiness when I added it. I was using a new water addon and being in a hurry to finish this one, couldn't figure out how to make it less choppy. I hoped that viewers would think it was due to the massive vibration of the refrigerator motor as it was shorting out from the water. Ha. Thanks again and I'll strive to watch out for the details!

  • Love the ambience of this refurbished kitchen!

  • Good luck, hope you don't have back issues when you wake up from that couch. Great work, pharm. 😊
