After going through the Wrangler sculpting course I wasn't satisfied enough with leaving it as a sculpt only, so I decided to take a step further and finish it myself. Instead of baking normal map (because I couldn't get it to look right) I decided to paint the texture. The model's a bit blocky, because I was trying to make it "game-ready" (or at least what I think a game-ready model would look like?).

  • duerer Thanks :) Maybe I'll give animating him a try one day. The rig I made should be good enough for animation after a few tweaks.

  • I like this Wrangler 😀! Great work 👍! This guy should be animated 🏃‍♂️🤸‍♂️!

  • @theluthier Wrangler was a really fun character to work on! It would be great to see an update or maybe even a remake of this course. It'd be a waste to let it be forgotten like that. Especially now that Blender 2.8 has some great new sculpting tools (in the course you've shown an addon for sculpting, which I don't think even works with newer Blender versions and today Blender has all those tools by default)

This is amazing! Truthfully this was our goal for the wrangler course(s). The initial plan was to teach the whole lo-poly (game-ready) character workflow from sculpting to use in a game engine. It's been so long ago that I forget exactly why this plan never progressed beyond sculpting..

Anyway, you've fulfilled the vision all on your own! Excellent work 👏
