Awesome! I agree with @jlampel , it does feel like an action figure. I would also add the hand seems really strange. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it feels off. other then that dude, looks sick!
Very interesting character, I love the suit! I also like the story going on.
As for critique, to me the scene feels stiff and flat as a whole. The diver's pose looks like a toy action figure that can only bend to certain poses, probably because it doesn't quite match the situation that he's in. The lighting is also feels off since the rocks are highlighted way more than the diver. IMO the lighting and composition of the second render with the black background would be about perfect if it were zoomed in just a bit.
