Spock — Leonard Nimoy Tribute Final

Intended to be a little bit stylized, I think this is one of my best pieces to date. It's the first piece I've done to look like someone that it was clearly easy to see who it was supposed to be. Really proud of how this one turned out. Many thanks to Kent Trammell, Jonathan Williamson and the CG Cookie team for the great tutorials on their site. (Okay... I used the marble from the tutorial, more for time and because it looked a bit better than some of my attempts at this style of marble.)

  • Well done! I really like the composition.

If I may be so bold, a list of small changes that might make a big difference:
    1. Make the paint on the wall in the back more uniform in color so that it contrasts more with the marble.
    2. Make the side 2 pedestals marble also so they all look grand and of great importance.
    3. Change the font to a sans type, like Arial. Seems to me Vulcans would not go for "fancy" fonts. Or make it Vulcan font with a translation, maybe.
    4. Center justify the font.
    5. The floor seems a little too reflective for wood.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the piece. Otherwise I would not have bothered to look at it or comment.

    Prosper!
