Portrait Study (Painting) Final

I decided to do a portrait study today to help me get a better grasp of the anatomy of the head. I've always struggled alot with proportions of the face and had ALOT of trouble drawing the chin. I used a photo reference for this painting o: If you have any tips, advice or suggestions especially relating to anatomy please let me know in the comments!! I would love to get some feedback on this. Done in Manga Studio 5.

  • good try keep doing regular sketching and take time to finishing your output all the best :) :)

  • Ahhh I can see what you mean now! Thank you so much for your critique! Duly noted. :)

  • I'm a beginner in modeling heads, so this feedback comes from what I've been learning.

    Overall, the proportions seem good.

It feels like you are missing important creases around the mouth; the lower lip should sort of fade into a crease directly at the corner of the mouth. I also don't see the crease that comes down from the nose around the mouth.

I think the jaw should terminate a bit behind the ear; your's seems to terminate in the front and feels too short as a result.
