Nebo Redline Select RC 6998 Flashlight Assembly Animation Final

This is a little side project of a real world product I own. I wanted to do an animated exploded view to show all the various parts and pieces that make up the flashlight. A Longer description is on the YouTube page.

dragonice69 : Took a bit but got you some wireframes. No Subdivs. (Actually I practically never use subdues, prefer to have "real" geometry.

Didn't cap everything (the USB connector itself is like 16 separate parts, and the LED Module has several components most of which you never see, and I didn't shoot caps of the PCB's and switch assembly) but it should give you a feel for what's under the hood.

FWIW, I have zero idea how to model in Blender. I'm a CAD/CAM guy, and am infinitely more comfortable in blender where everything is a nurbs curve or surface. The whole yank on vertexes thing I have a tough time with.

FWIW, there's no hard edges in the geometry anywhere. All the sharp corners have been filleted to represent the reality of machining, so stuff like the hard cuts on the lens shroud all have 1/128" to 1/256" fillets, Exposed threads have 1/512" fillets on the leading edges of the threads. Some of the thread fillet calcs took 6-8 minutes each to process. I have no idea how one would attempt that in a purely polygonal modeler. Anyway there ya have it..

dragonice69 Still buried in work stuff, but will try to get you something up over the weekend.

@dragonice69: As in like wireframes? Part by part or the whole thing assembled (and in the latter case it's so dense it looks pretty much solid with all the parts in there. Lots and lots of threaded sections.

ketre Thankee. Was a deeper dive into rigging than most of the stuff I do.
