This put a smile in my face, loving the legend of the mystical orb lol. First time I've seen metaballs put to good use, nice composition you made out of them. To get appealing results out of simple parts is a tall order. Nicely done.
I like playing around with the fundamentals, when learning new things, using the constraints of not knowing a lot and getting creative with what I have.
Lighting and materials are clearly very powerful tools, but I have next to no experience with them, so I wanted to focus on those.
The Fundamentals series is great for getting to a point where you can use the tools more consciously. Having a lot of fun with this.
