Does anyone else experience this issue where using the search tool to execute a command again does not populate a result? I'm only having this issue in the official 2.83 release so far. Haven't checked 2.9 yet
For instance I search for knife project and I get the results I am looking for. Then I activate the search tool and it defaults to Knife Project (the entire legit name of the tool) but the search results are completely blank.......???
Hi Shawn It seems you have found a bug, this typically only happens with the Knife Project...(I couldn't find any other operator with this behavior)
You can of course assign a shortcut to it (SHIFT+K is free, when you haven't used that yet).
Or you can check Developers Extras in your Preferences:
And then in Experimental use Menu Search:
This last option is now default in 2.90, so the problem doesn't arise there (the developers must have noticed something was wrong...)
I agree I am currently narrowing it down to knife project specifically. I wonder if it's not in 2.9 then I probably don't need to report it then, right?
I found (probably) related bugs already reported, so no, I wouldn't report it. As it is fixed in 2.90, it will probably be changed in the first corrective release 2.83.1
