sculpting and retopo when

hey guys 

i have my sculpted base.

i now wonder when i want to start the clothes , is it best to first retopo the base model and then work onto the clothes or first sculpt clothes and then retopo the body and clothes? 

its a model that has to be animation ready
dont know if there are any pro and cons etc

    I'd go retopo -- try clothes, make sure that your body geometry is working as intended and then proceed with any type of gear you want.
    It gives a lot more of an artistic freedom to have a clean body model available.

    thank you i will start retopo tomorrow then :)
    and indeed with retopo it will be cleaner and less memory taking too
