2.82 and 2.82a Add UV Sphere dark and un-editable.... looked at 2.83 and its ok..... not finding any setting that would cause this problem in 2.82... any thoughts....

What do you mean? What is dark? The Align > World? That is supposed to look like that and it's not greyed out so it should be changeable.
But what's with all these colors? Are you using an addon for the theme? Could that addon be causing problems?
Tried all that again.... nope.. as soon as I click on segment the change it... the menu closes....
2.83 I can use the same theme and it works fine...

here is 2.83 using the same theme.... it works...2.81 works.... but not 2.82....
Ok....after uninstalling blender 2.82a and deleting the 2.82 folder in the User....app folder.... it now works.... I am wondering when I updated from 2.82 to 2.82a something in the old 2.82 folder is not updated....
well once again it happened, this time on two machines.... had to uninstall 2.82a... remove them from the APP folder and reinstall....came up ok... works fine on two machines
