Are advanced animation series up to date?

I´m Working on blender 2.80, and really worried about the differences  between blender 2.63 and 2.80. Is there any big difference in animation tools?

    Hi  lofaktirhum

The short answer is - no, they are not really up to date.

However, there isn't a lot of difference in the tools, and there is no difference in the workflow (or principals).

We are currently in the process of updating all the animation content with 2.8x but that is and will be an ongoing and slow process.

Are you interested in learning character animation?

If so, I would recommend undertaking "the animation bootcamp"

It is 2.78, but it is designed to train your skills one principal at a time.  A minimal amount of buttons have changed in 2.80 but as I said everything else is exactly the same.  If you get stuck just @mention me (@waylow)  and make sure you post your work because I critique each submission.  (That's the only way you really improve)

Good luck with your animation journey....just remember, animation is hard.  So don't give up.
