I want to apply wood or any image on this kind of shape. so how do I unwrap it without distortion?

I would set the bottom edge circle as a seam along with one vertical edge:

    thank you for your response.

I am not getting seamless texture with this method. How do I get that? I want to take this cone to substance painter, put base wood or any  patterned texture and  paint on top of it.

There's almost never such a thing as a seamless texture with no distortion when unwrapping, but you can cover it up by painting across the seams. In Substance you can also try using tri-planer projection as your mapping, which will give a smooth projected result.
