Can't log into my CG account with Google Chrome.

As the title has made clear; I am now unable to log into the website using the Chrome Browser. Once I enter my details and continue, it seems to be stuck in a limbo. I have had to log in with Internet Explorer.

Would anybody know what the issue might be?

Did you contact support?  Use the orange Life Preserver down on the right there.

This also happened to me several times lately, on different workstations.

The only thing I was able to track down at first, using the chrome web-developer tools (F12), was that some 3rd party javascript libraries were not loaded or responding. The culprits always seem to be google analytics, hellobar and js-stripe.

I just found the cause of this today and in my case it seems to be related to the Adblock Plus extension running on all my chrome installations.

The strange thing about this is that whitelisting cgcookie.com doesn't help at all (had allready done that anyway).

What fixed the problem for me was to actually completely disable the extension, restart the browser, login to cgcookie (which works after disabling the extension), logout of cgcookie, enable the extension again and restart the browser once more. The login now works again as it used to.

    Cheers
    Martin

I see. Thank you for your explanation. I am unfamiliar with the web-developer tools, but with a quick glance I spotted the error. This is the error message. Would you happen to know anything about it?

(index):1 Failed to execute 'postMessage' on 'DOMWindow': The target origin provided ('https://js.stripe.com') does not match the recipient window's origin ('https://cgcookie.com').

    Firefox :)

Are you able to login with any other browser? You can try clearing out your cookies and anything else in cache to see if that works.

I have tried clearing clearing the cache to no effect. I also am able to log in with other browsers. While it irks me that my main browser is dead in one regard, I have switched over to Firefox which works. I hope the problem will keep itself confined to Chrome.
