introduction to character modeling still viable?

Hello,

I am really interested in getting into sculpting and I have done most of the intro to digital sculpting and I was looking at character modeling course but it is in 2.67 and is that at all still going to help me?

Thanks for any answers

The concepts are transferable between software versions.  Kent does a great job giving you the fundamentals and concepts and Blender is just the tool he uses.  Yes, it will help you.

If we are talking about this course Realistic Character, than I can tell you I followed it in blender 2.79 and things worked out pretty well for me. Give it a go!

I started using Blender a couple of months ago - mainly for sculpting and I used the 2.8 beta.  I kept the Blender 2.8 manual up for reference or just looked up info. on Google.  It took a little extra time to reference between the pre 2.8 and 2.8 UI stuff, but it wasn't frustrating to me.

One of the addons mentioned in the courses (can't remember which one) isn't packed with Blender anymore: "Sculpt Toolkit".  It's now on Blender Market for around $15.
