BC1-1908 Homework - silentheart00

Collaborations

Hmm.... what to make, what to make....

I asked someone from my DND group if there were any cool weapons they would like to see as a 3D model, and someone suggested a wrist mounted crossbow.  Why not?

If not, then I was thinking of making something for Kilyn.

    Day 1

Well, started on that crossbow, but then 2.8 decided to delete some of my work, which I didn't notice, sooooo, guess I'll have to redo some work.  Time for a break!

  • Jack (jack07) replied

silentheart00 Oof, sad to hear about that, how did that happen? Now I'm scared D:

silentheart00 That sucks dude.. I do like you’re doing a crossbow though!! Looking forward to seeing it evolve :)

  • silentheart00 replied

jack07 Thanks!  I haven't the faintest clue how it happened, but oh well.  Sometimes we just have to roll with it.

    ssmurfmier1985 Thanks!

silentheart00  Crossbows are super neat! One of my favorite DnD characters I made used a wrist mounted crossbow, can't wait to see how yours turns out!

  • Aaron Rudderham(thecabbagedetective) replied

silentheart00 That sucks man, hope you manage to recoup everything. Though look on the bright side, you'll be able to do it better this time.

  • spikeyxxx replied

silentheart00 Bummer. It has not happened to me yet, luckily, but I very often just re-start from scratch and, like Aaron already mentioned, the second time goes way faster and the result is also better. From bad things comes good (not always, but very often...).

Thanks everyone!  I was able to recover some lost modeling (and I mean by redoing it), and add more things!  It looks kinda plain and blocky right now, but I'll make it more interesting later.  And the small dings and marks will help, too.  I just need to add the string and the apparatus to hold it to the hand.

  • smurfmier1985 replied

silentheart00 Story of 3D, it all starts blocky, and then the magic happens :-D

Good progress Silent, this is going to be dope!

  • Jack (jack07) replied

silentheart00 The best part of these screenshots is that when you finish it, you look back and go "WHOA"

  • silentheart00 replied

ssmurfmier1985 jack07 Thanks!  And yeah, it's nice to have a progress journal.
