Modeling Boots, best approach?

Hey Guys,

I'm currently doing the "Realistic Character" Course from Kent Tramell and I'm having great issues with modeling/sculpting some boots. Can anyone get me started with a tip on how to approach it the best way, like it's best to start with a cube and expand it the leg up or something like that?

The goal is some leather boots in an early Germanic style like in this picture from Rome 2 Total War.

Greetings

    Hi,

    There are two possible ways

    1. Start with a cube

    2. Start with sculpting and retopo.
