Beginner: CGCookie Apple Tutorial Shape Problem

Hi, I am a complete beginner when it comes to Blender and I am working on the apple tutorial on their Youtube page. I was following step by step but my shape still wont look the shape of an apple. Im not sure what I am doing wrong. I tried over and over and my shape is still not looking right. Any suggestions? Thanks

It looks fine from the front but when you begin to orbit the shape is off

This is what it is looking like when you orbit

kkandrei99 You're viewing it in Orthographic.  Try changing back to Perspective and see if the shape looks better to you.

Hi Kandrei99, it looks like you scaled the top ring of vertices up int the Y-axis. From the front orthographic view you cannot see this of course, but as soon as you look at it from a different angle it suddenly becomes apparent that something is wrong. This can and will happen more often; you change something without noticing it and only if you look at it from a different angle you can see it. For instance: you have a 'hidden' vertex selected without knowing and when you than transform your selection, this 'hidden' vertex also changes its position. Therefore it is important to always rotate around your model. This is not only a beginner mistake by the way;)
