VR headset makes me ill:D

After about a min of wearing VR headset I get the intense feeling of grabbing a bucket and well....  I am the only one in my family to get sick so early on.. any ideas how to overcome that?  lol besides popping some dramamine.

Thanks Curious

for some games you can activate vignette. that helps some people. I actually turn off this option because i can play all day without feeling dizzy lol

It depends what headset you're using and what type of VR content you're playing as well. I found the Vive to be the best overall for general smoothness. I remember when I got my Oculus Rift DK2 and I had plenty of  ill feelings. The Gear VR was a bit of a step up, and now the Vive seems to be the smoothest I've experienced so far.

Any game that moves the player around can cause motion sickness because the brain thinks it's moving, but it's not physically moving. A way to combat this is to keep movement much slower, or place objects around the player while moving. Moving in a VR vehicle doesn't seem to cause this issue because we're used to experiencing that in real life. If you move in a vehicle in real life your body isn't physically moving it, but your body is moving with the vehicle.

In general though, you'll get used to the feeling of VR and get more acclimated to it. I've been using VR since the DK2 was out so my body also knows what to expect.
