Principled Shader missing

I am still beating the "Oculus Medium textures into blender" horse, and After getting some advice from some other Oculus Medium artists, I was trying to use node editor to replicate what someone told me to do after I commented on a beautifully rendered image of their Medium sculpt in blender when I hit a snag.

They told me to use a Principled BDSF shader,  but I don't have that on my add menu. I even searched it and it doesn't come up.

Am I doing something wrong?

You'll have to upgrade to 2.79b. The Principled shader isn't in 2.78 (the version in your screenshot).
