Exporting animations from Blender to Unity

I have watched a couple videos detailing how to do this but I am not having any luck. I selected the object that I animated in Blender then exported it as an .fbx directly into my Unity asset folder. From there I can select it and play its animation in the preview window but when I actually drag it into the animation window and press play, nothing happens. Below is a screen grab video of me attempting this. Can anyone see what mistake it is that I am making? Thanks!

I think you might be missing the Animator controller for the Animator component on the object.
