Leaking smoke when rendering in cycles

Hey, I don't really know what I did wrong, but when I rendered in cycles the smoke fell through the launch pad haha

Here's the first 120 frames i think where you can see the smoke falling through, the weird thing is that when I test it in eevee, it works normally

That's not right! I noticed a similar issue while making this course, though not quite as bad. What fixed it for me was simply rebaking the simulation right before rendering.

I think 2.80 has some issues with the  way it caches bakes, and they don't always seem to cache properly.

If that doesn't work, you can also make sure that your launchpad's permeability attribute in its collision settings is set to 0. Permeability lets particles pass through a mesh, so that may be an issue as well.

Hey, thanks for answering that fast! How can I rebake the animation cache?

Whoops, looks like I missed your reply until just now. Sorry about that!

Deleting the simulation's cache is really simple. Just click "Delete Bake" from the cache tab of your particle system. When you do this, that same button should change to read "Bake" again. Then just click the button again to bake your simulation again.
