Blender freezes/crashes whenever I try to color the main body...

I've had Blender freeze 6 times in a row whenever I try to paint on the main body in any way. Painting on the turret works fine, but painting anywhere on the main body makes the program freeze.
I tried painting with a tiny brush and it worked slightly, but seemed to really slow down the program, and as soon as I touched a corner/seam it froze again.

Any idea why this happens?

Edit: I tried painting on the source file tank body and it worked just fine. Is it something to do with my unwrapping?

Hey Øyvind, I can't think of anything that should cause the painting to slow that much. If it keeps happening, please report it as a bug! https://developer.blender.org/

It seems to be caused by the way it has been unwrapped, though I cannot see how. As soon as I unwrapped it differently, for example using Smart UV unwrapping, it worked fine. Guess I'll just go with that, but I will report it as you recommended. Thanks for the quick reply. :)
