is AO the only thing texture i should bake in Blender?

and all the other textures get baked in Substance? or is the AO changed in Substance and re-exported?

thx, julian

All other textures (world space normal, thickness, etc..) do get baked in Substance, and depending on your project the AO may be tweaked by your texture painting as well so the final map is usually exported from Substance.

thanks. that's very helpful. at least i know to concentrate on AO in blender. the other big thing i expect to have to bake when using Substance Painter are the Material IDs.

side point: i do hope that B2.8 will soon support UDIMs natively, as this seems something important for filmmakers (like me) who need photoreality and are less concerned with smooth real time performance (though texturing in eevee is so much nicer than using cycles). thus, texture files can be larger and use more memory without it mattering so much.

Indeed, I've seen that UDIMs are coming soon! Maybe not in 2.80, but likely 2.81.
