Node tree disparity

The node tree is different in 2.7b.

So how to replicate anisotropic as shown here?

    awa What's different about it? I know the principled shader features an anisotropic setting but as far as I know, this shader can still be built the same as this video using the anisotropic BSDF node.

    Hi Kent, put it down to me just not getting it. E.g., what node would I put "in front of" the anisotropic principled shader to output a

    10w x 20h steel plate w vertical "scratches"?

    Hmm it would depend on a few factors, like the orientation of your plane. Do you have a .blend file that I could take a look at and/or tweak for you to reference?
