box is moving between keyframes?

right now i am having an issue with the box moving weirdly between the keyframes. on the frame where he lifts up the box a little bit(my f151)  and then comes back down(my f164), i am having an issue with the frame where he comes back down. in between that frame the hands are moving to the left and then back to the correct position on f164. the box in between the frame is also moving to the left and right. there is an influence on the box on f151 and 0 influence on f164. if i change the influence to 1 on that frame it still moves weirdly. also, the child of constraint I have for the root and chest will not let me change the influence and stays at 0 for the root and 1 for the chest. I get an error message if i try to change it that says cannot be keyframed, ensure it is not locked or sampled. i am not sure how to fix the movement of the hands and box in between the frames. i hope this makes sense.

A picture says a thousand words, and a video says a million haha.  That is a new saying that I'm trying to get off the ground, but I don't think it is going to happen.

I don't exactly follow what you're saying but let me guess.  Remember when you are turning off/on a constraint that you should key both frames, so don't forget to key the LocRot of the control as well as the influence of the constraint otherwise it will slide from the constraint position back to where it 'thinks' it is.

I hope that helps.  If not, and a video or pictures and we'll get to the bottom of it.

here you can see the box and hands moving between the keyframes

Check the GE,  The handles are not flat between the 2 keys.

How can you spot this from the action editor?

Look at the bars between all the keyframes.  If there is a 'bar' that seems to connect between all the keys it means the value is constant.  EG - it looks like the Scale keys are always at 1.0 so all the keys look connected.

    Hope that makes sense.

Let me know if it solves your issue.

right now i am having an issue from f168 to f172. When he picks up the box, the box is going haywire and not straight like it is supposed to and the hands are messed up. the influence on the box goes from 0 to 1 between those keyframes.

i figured out how to fix the box but still having an issue with the hand moving in between keyframe f168-172. i tried connecting the keyframes as you said but it doesn't work and messes up the hand. i am not sure how to fix it. it seems that the hand is moving up and then down between the frames

When you change the influence from 0 to 1 (or vice versa) do this over 1 frame.

Check in the graph editor to see what is happening with the hand between those keys. It is likely the handles.

I can't tell what you have selected in that video but you can see that the loc and rot values change between those keyframes.

Also check, if you are changing the parent over those frames (local/world), that you do this over 1 frame and not over those 4 frames. (if you are changing the parent which I don't think you are)

Good luck Snappy, overcoming issues like this will make you super knowledgeable.
