Am i allowed to enter edit-mode just to get rid of n-gons with ctrl + t? i get shading problems with sketchfab otherwise. the shape of the mesh is not altered at all.

    Hmm, how can there be an n-gon if the primitive's mesh data hasn't been altered? But sure, if that's the only thing that will fix it.

    if i understood correctly, we are allowed to use the boolean-modifier  (or boolean tools). i got an n-gon when i tried to make a hole for a  window with a cube.
