Are we allowed to use Vertex Paint Mode?

Or should we just apply solid color materials on a per-object basis? I don't believe we could use textures as that would involve UV unwrapping and hence entering Edit mode (unless one used generate UVs on the primitive at time of creation). Thanks!

Hey Adam, no need to color the model at all, but if you do want to I would recommend doing it on a per-object basis. Good luck!

Thanks Jonathan for your reply! This was perhaps the most difficult exercise I've encountered yet... as Edit mode was forbidden! :-) I created a small outdoor deck using only Object mode, array modifiers, bevel modifiers, and 2 boolean modifiers to cut the front, bottom, top, and back of the stair supports. Created it all using real-world Imperial measurements... although the stairs are wider than normal at 6 feet. :-)
