Unwrap again after modifying low poly mesh?

In one of the baking video you flatten the faces of the low poly object to fix the normal 

without unwrapping again. 

Does the change made on the mesh also update the UV map?

    It doesn't change anything on the UV map, but since it's such a small tweak I don't think it makes a significant difference. If it was, you are right, I would have needed to readjust the UV's afterwards.
