How to "switch type to" in Node Editor?

I searched for it but couldn't find anything like that.

How can I convert a node to another one?

Thanks for Great tutorial.

Switching nodes from one to another is extra functionality possible with the Node Wrangler addon. It's included with the official version of Blender but it's not enabled out of the box.

Go to User Preferences > Addons and search "node wrangler". Enable it. Then in the Node Editor, with a node selected, you can switch with SHIFT + S.

    Thank you. Kent.

I wonder why it's not enabled at default.

It doesn't seem like an top popularity addon but provides great methods.

I enable soon after downloading, save user prefs, and it's always available to me. I forget that it's not enabled by default 😅
