Why sculpt a female head?

posted to: Week 2 Kickoff

I was just curious to know why choose a sculpting a female head for this course? I know they are kind of the same, but i think it makes the course a bit harder to follow. Plus I know there are some key differences between that of a male and female.

Simply because it's a challenge. "Tutorial" has become a weird word for our content because ideally our students won't do exactly what's in the videos. Ideally they will understand the principles and workflow being taught and apply it in a unique way - such as a female instead of a male.

I suppose since I'd done a couple courses with a male head before: this one and this one. There's less female head instruction out there compared to male heads. A little variety helps.
