What about NormalMap?

hey man, I was wondering, is that possible, using this method, to export the normalmap?

Yes, you can convert the greyscale bump I generated into a normal map.

Once converted into mesh, the hair is not appear to be subject to wind forces. What would you recommend if you want the final product to show hair movement/bounce with head movement or wind effect?

    Thanks

    Hi Chuck,

Maybe you could try adding a cloth modifier to your finished hair cards?  That should interact with wind and if you fiddle with the cloth settings you should get something pretty good...
