Hello again Kent. I've placed an image in the students gallery and it's called : romans_first_practice.jpg. Many thanks, Roman.

Do you mean sculpting skin detail like wrinkles and pores? Or are you asking about texturing skin (coloring the grey model to look like skin)?

Hello Kent. As far as I understand I can achieve wrinkles and pores with the use of a bump map (?). I believe I need to find and apply an image of skin to my arm model and to also utilise SSS. Any advice or lessons you may suggest is what I'm hoping for. My experience is tiny and so far what I can find is difficult to comprehend as it pre-supposes a level of knowledge I don't have, by using terms I'm struggling to understand. You're a busy guy and I realise you cannot write extensively but a pointer to newbie instructions would be appreciated. Do your CGC vids cover these aspects beginning from the ground-up? Many thanks.

Further to my response 52 mins ago - yes, I would like to apply realistic skin the the grey arm model.

I recommend you take a look through this course: https://cgcookie.com/course/shading-fundamentals-in-blender-render/

Only instead of a pancake source image, use human skin photographs. http://3d.sk offers excellent photographs like this.
