Hey Kent, Yet another great tutorial! I do have one question though, which is more of a general thing about all of the stuff across CG Cookie. How long did you spend doing the hair? I realise the time lapse is 18 mins, but there's no reference to how much it's sped up. I often find myself sitting and over-working things; spending too long on a particular part and never really finishing anything. To have a good idea of how long this kind of thing takes you would give me a good idea of how long I should be spending. I'm enough of a realist to know it'll take me longer, as I'm no where near as good, but a benchmark would be great. This kind of goes for all time-lapse videos you guys do, really - something to mention the next time you all have a chat about content stuff :) Cheers, and keep up the great work! JamesR

    Thanks for watching, James!

I generally speed up my timelapses between 200-250% of the recorded speed. So the timelapse portion of this video took about 45 minutes to record. A full sculpted hairstyle (when I'm not concentration on teaching) usually takes me an hour or so.

But it also depends on how much detail to include or how extravagant the hairstyle is. For example, a woman's long hair blowing in the wind would take much longer to sculpt than a slicked-back man's hair-style.
