How Are You Adapting Your Blender Workflow to AI?

Question Modeling

I’m a beginner who’s currently working through the Core Fundamentals course, and I’m really enjoying it. It’s fascinating to see how experienced artists approach modeling, texturing, lighting, and the overall workflow.

That said, I’ve been thinking a lot about how quickly AI is evolving in the 3D space. It seems like every few weeks there’s a new tool that promises to speed up or automate part of the process.

For those of you who have been using Blender professionally or for many years: how do you see AI changing Blender workflows over the next 5–10 years? Do you think it’s still worth investing hundreds (or even thousands) of hours into mastering Blender, or do you expect AI to fundamentally change what artists spend their time doing?

Personally, I feel that strong fundamentals will always matter, but as someone just starting out, I’d love to hear the perspective of more experienced artists. How are you adapting your own workflows, and what skills do you think will remain the most valuable as AI continues to improve?

Personally, I think it's going to be like motion capture. Just another tool that speeds up the process but still has to be adjusted and cleaned up. It's not so much mastering Blender as it is mastering the techniques and principles. If you know those then it's just a matter of getting familiar with a software.
