How do you know if a vertex is ontop of each other i didnt really get that part

    It's best to watch the Lesson again.

    He mentions this specific thing, starting from ~9:22 (but like I said, do yourself a favor and watch the whole Lesson again!).

    There are some other tricks to find 'double Vertices', but in general it's best to simply do a Merge By Distance ever so often, at latest when something weird/unexpected happens (Select everything with A and then M > Merge > By Distance).

    One way you can tell if you're in Vertex mode and you have one selected, if you look at the edges it's connected to, one will have a glow and the other won't. It can also cause weird issues when you're trying to do things. (IE You're trying to do something and it's not doing what you expected.) But the easiest way to clear them is what Martin said.
