Bevel not working

It works in most places even though I had to do work around multiple vertices (particularily around the bite marks). There was a lot of jarring angles with clamp overlap turned off so I had to do a lot of merging and repositioning of vertices. The bevel is not working around the cartridge slot and one of the bite mark edges and I'm not sure why.  I'll try upload some images. Any ideas?

    HI AAishe ,

Sorry, but I can't tell from the screenshots alone.

If you can upload your .blend file and post a link here, we can investigate.

This is going to sound stupid but how do I upload my .blend file?

  • Martin Bergwerf replied

Upload it to Googledrive, Dropbox, or so and post a 'share' link here.

Hi Aisling, you have so-called double Vertices (see how these don't connect outwards):

    A, M > Merge > By Distance.

Also, as you can see the 3 Vertices along the sides are not in a straight line.

    S, X, 0 to line them up.

I hope this is clear enough.

Thanks. I have no idea how that happened. Initially those actions didn't work but it works now. Any ideas of how to get rid of or fix the remaining jarring angles?

    Hi Aisling,

I am not sure what parts you mean exactly, but After Merging, you might need to re-set the Bevel Weight on some of those Edges:

Also make sure that Vertices are lining up where they need to; for instance, here are your bite marks from Top View:
