Hello everyone! I have been traveling ever further into my Blender and technical art journey and it has been a fun ride. However, I think I am reaching the first stop on my journey so this question may be a different one than usual.
I was curious what the community might think or if there are any seasoned veterans that have some sage advice. What is the best way to host my work in this day and age? I want to show off my work, but I want to do it in the best way possible before I go through the effort. There is a lot of conflicting info online. Some people say wix is good. Other people say free sites look unprofessional. Other still think it doesn't really matter as long as your Portfolio looks good.
what IS the best way? any suggestions? Thanks
I've heard Andrew Price say time and time again that people that are looking for hire are mostly interested on a good portfolio, that they don't even ask for credentials, art degree, college diploma, none of it, just show me you can do awesome stuff. He has good insights since he has interviewed people that are the ones in companies in charge of hiring people.
Another thing I think, it's that people think about it too much, it's not like only the super duper top artist in the world get jobs, normal people with normal portfolios get jobs too. If you have a website on Wix, it's hard for me to see someone saying look at this guy, he has a Wix page Lol, not hired, we don't like showcasing work on Wix, we're more a PDF company, high five everyone.
So meh, just have a cool portfolio I'd say, a cool demo reel and if you just send it over email or have an Artstation page, then great.
