I have an object that I applied the mirror modifier to, and I try to paint it by choosing it, but once I am in texture paint the mirrored object vanishes. Any possibility to remove the applied mirror modifier. It is causing more trouble than being helpful.
Ah just found out
1) right click object >> convert to mesh, keep original
2) menu Object - relations - make single user - object and data
3) gO TO Edit mode >> select one of objects >> press P to create a separate object.
4) Edit Keep the seperate object which we created with P , delete the other linked objects.
