Project File Dimensions

What dimensions do you resize your photos to when including them in your project folders here at cgcookie?

I usually save an 8bit png for uploading to this site and a 16bit for socials and other places. The 8bit usually is under the 5mb threshold for the gallery.

If they exceeed the 5mb, I tend to Save a JPEG version, instead of resizing them.

I save them just a little bit lower to whatever is the limit the website allows. If it's not letting me upload, then I tone it down a bit, repeat until it does save it. Just to ensure the maximum quality. It's kinda crazy, but sometimes I want that image to look good.

so what I'm hearing is you guys don't really concern yourselves with the dimensions, haha, you focus on file type and size?

Most people use the default HDTV 1080p(1920 by 1080) resolution. Unless it's changed in the course. Then it becomes a mater of getting the size of the file to fit within size limit.
