Not a question, but a note for anyone on 4.3+

Question

The guides tool is pretty powerful!! Love it! But unfortunately it's one that was taken off on Grease Pencil 3.0.

They are aware it's a tool that will be missed and plan on adding it back on a future release, but this right here might be the reason to stick to 4.2 for now. Depending on your project of course...

Yes I still am waiting for this one to come back, too. Unfortunately there is no ETA on it. I am HOPING it pops up in 4.5 LTS but I can't see anything on the workboards where they list all the bug fixes.

I was hopeful but..nope. It appears we're already on 5.3.1 but I don't see a direct link for 5.2 LTS. Gemini says its release date is 7/14/26. Hm. Anyone?

The official Release is still 5.1.

Blender 5.2 LTS is at the moment still in Beta and the expected Release date is indeed July 14th. As far as I know, Guides have not yet returned in 5.2.

Blender 5.3 is in Alpha and is expected to be Released November 10th. There is no 5.3.1 yet😉
