Where all the Add-ons????

Question

Hello everyone I recently was having issues on my MacBook Pro M2 Max rendering out a Blender project which caused issues to my laptop (I accidentally set it to CPU instead of GPU...I know very stupid)

I had to erase everything on my disk and restart my laptop. I was able to somehow get Blender 4.3 however I no longer see all the add-ons that comes with Blender....where are they and how do I fix this minor issue?

you can view it here: ???

Thanks

They don't come with Blender anymore. You can download them thru preference(Ctrl+comma)->extensions, but first you have to give blender permission to access the internet under system check Allow internet access. You can uncheck it if after you finish downloading the extensions/addons. They can be turned on/off thru addons.

They wanted to make blender's downloads smaller and it allows for addon updates/bug fixes without having to wait for the next blender release. I get why, but I liked the old system better.

Oh, forgot to mention for people like me who have to use another device for internet access or if you want a better way to figure out what the addons are you can go to the extensions website: https://extensions.blender.org/ once you click on the addon you want you click on Get addon. Under the drag and drop sections is a download link. For those who want to you can click and hold mouse button down and drag from the drag and drop section to blender and this will install the extension/addon. You can install the downloaded zip file by either dragging and dropping it in blender window or thru the addon section of preference just like you use to do.
