Making a video book.

Question

Hey, first of all, did you see the challenge just below ? Seems so interesting !

I had some questions.

  • If I find a course exercise really motivating, can I push forward and use the result in a personal book ? I don't mind mentioning CG Cookie, the course name and the teacher's name.
  • Where should i upload high quality video to start a book ? Is Youtube quality enough when you render an animation in 4096x1716 ?

Once again, sorry Wes, but someone had to come after you on the community threads. I didn't mean to flood.

Go check the post just below !

Peace.

When you say a book, you mean one of those polybook threads people do here on the forums? If so then of course, the whole point of them is to post your work and keep a record of how you progress and for everyone to see your results and you be a little proud of yourself and stuff, it's great for morale and incentivizing one self.

No, Omar, when i say a book, i mean a professional book that can be presented to seek for work.

Still a bit confused. If it's something online, like in your portfolio or resume, then I bet it's ok, but I know interviews and people who hire don't really like your portfolio to be filled with things you made in tutorials, it has t be original work. But if it's like a book for publishing and stuff, then you'd have to speak to Wes about it. You can shot him an email at wes@cgcookie.com
