Array Modifier and Empty Acting Weird

Question

I'm taking Jonathan Williams's course on the "Modeling a Post Apocalyptic Vehicle". https://cgcookie.mavenseed.com/lessons/modeling-the-wheels
@7:50 He rotated the empty for the wheel and the mesh follow it.

Somehow, mine doesn't. When I rotate the empty in the x-axis, the small part of the wheel break apart while the array modifier is on. I'll share the blend file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rXv0zOEv9_XgEaahPMVOxL3CrxMF5_Yt/view?usp=sharing

Here are the examples what I mean:

    Hey euv
I downloaded your file, it works fine.

Remember to select and rotate the empty, after changing the settings for the Array modifier which is on the wheel.
(I didn't when I first checked your file)

What is happening? The array modifier is basically duplicating the wheel segment 8 times, then with the empty as the object offset, each segment is rotated by the same amount as the empty in relation to the previous segment.
    For example: rotating the empty 45°, will rotate segment 2, 45°from segment 1. segment 3, 45° from segment 2, No4 45° from No3, No5 45° from No4, etc., etc..

Modeling 1/8th of the wheel means the rotation needs to be precise at 45° to fill the circle.

Rotating more (or less) than 45° will break the full circle with 8 equal segments.

Yeah, your file works perfectly for me as well. You have a slice of the wheel to work on and get the rest of the model for free, that's how it goes. Keep watching the lesson, perhaps it will become clearer as you progress in the video.
