Blender version question

posted to: Posing
Hello, I'm just wondering what version of Blender is being used for the tutorial. I found that Blender 2.8 doesn't have as many sculpting tools as compared to its later releases. I'm trying to use 4.0 but that is proving to be difficult on my end. Is there a section in the fundamentals about the version being used? I'm trying to use Shift + Control to bring up the polygon mask tool.

Oops nvm. I found Ctr Shift works in 2.8 as well as 3.5. It was removed in version 4.0 apparently.

The Blender version is usually at the bottom right of the screen:

There is a neat word of advise at the start of courses about Blender versions here:

It gets a bit used to, but don't worry about the Blender version, Sculpting has been getting other tools as Blender gets updated, but the art of sculpting never changes, the fundamental modus operandi is 95% the same. You can use 2.81 and be a master sculptor same as using 4.0

OMG! Thank you for that piece of info. Now I know where to look. Thank you! Also, I just found the Blender 4.1 manual and found the new shortcut. I guess I know where I will look when I go back to using the latest versions. Thank you again!
