weird shading at 6:40

im getting some weird shading on the duct when I add the solidify modifier. I have normals turned on. I tried to select the faces and shade flat but nothing worked. is there something I'm doing wrong?

Update. I did notice I didn't delete the faces. it that took care of some of the problem as I still have issues with the even thickness. if I enable it , it gives weird shadowing to the duct but if I disable the even thickness it removes that shading.

So, let me get this straight Ricardo, you solved it, right?

Or do you still have a question?

(It could be, that you have some so-called Double Vertices or so...)

Yeah it looks like an issue with the geometry in the corner of the duct, behind the toolbar in the images.
    Most likely double vertices.

It can also be interior faces. That last black line of edges is more black and thick than the others, possibly meaning that there's a couple of faces bunched up there? It's definitely a mesh problem.
